Climate-friendly innovations for border traffic on the Upper Rhine: Strasbourg and Lörrach are the focus of the SuMo-Rhine project Last week, many thousands of French people protested against an eco-tax on diesel fuel with traffic blockades. People in rural areas in particular are often dependent on their cars when it comes to getting to work. At the same time, however, despite improved engines, growing car traffic is causing more and more climate-damaging CO2 emissions. The conflict shows that we need new mobility concepts.
